Time Zone Overlap Planner

Find a fair shared window for distributed teams. Use the free private browser tool, then learn how to apply its result.

Free to use. No account required. Your entries stay in this browser and are not submitted to Meet You.

Choose UTC offsets. The planner finds overlap inside each participant's 08:00–18:00 working day.

When this tool helps

Use this planner for two locations that need a shared working-hours window. For a recurring global meeting, use the result as a starting point and rotate inconvenience when no single time is fair.

How it works

Enter UTC offsets

Use each participant's current offset, including any seasonal clock change that applies on the meeting date.

Check the shared window

The tool compares local hours from 08:00 to 18:00 and accounts for the requested duration.

Test fairness over time

For recurring meetings, record who receives an early or late slot and rotate that burden.

How to read the result

A listed time means the full meeting fits inside both working windows. It does not mean the time is convenient, accessible, or contractually appropriate for either person.

Know the limit: The planner handles two numeric UTC offsets. It does not look up daylight-saving rules, holidays, individual calendars, or local working agreements.

Put the output to work

Copy the draft into the shared workspace your team already uses. Let the people involved correct it, keep the final version beside the relevant evidence, and link the result from the meeting record. For the full method, read How to Schedule Meetings Across Time Zones.

Common questions

Specific answers about the calculation, privacy, and limits of this tool.

Does the planner account for daylight-saving time?

No. Enter each location's UTC offset for the meeting date. Check the offsets again when clocks change or when a recurring series crosses a seasonal transition.

Can I use a half-hour or quarter-hour UTC offset?

Yes. The offset fields accept 0.25-hour steps, and the search checks 15-minute start times. For example, enter 5.5 for UTC+05:30 or 5.75 for UTC+05:45.
